Michigan. The following is information on my background and on the
formation of the company.
As a Real Estate Appraiser for 25 years I have inspected many homes. My
interests are in building construction and I worked in this industry prior to
becoming a Real Estate Appraiser in 1981. Energy conservation has always
held my interest; I enjoy making things work more efficiently and am
concerned with improving our environment. So it was natural for me to bring
these interests together as I began to realized just how energy in-efficient
most homes are.
Two events motivated me to start this business and recognize the emerging
market and need for Home Energy Surveys. One is the explosive increases in
the cost to heat our homes, a trend likely to continue. The other is the recent
technology advancements of one of the most effective tools in combating
home heat loss, the infrared camera. Used properly, these cameras are
unparalleled at heat loss detection.
I have obtained Certification as a Building Science Thermographer from FLIR
System's Infrared Training Center in Boston and have purchased their
equipment. FLIR is the recognized global leader in Infrared Cameras.
Combining my knowledge and experience in residential construction with the
latest in infrared camera technology I have formed Infrared Energy Analysis,
LLC. I'm confident you will find my service to be a good economic decision
just as others before you have.
